Hialeah City Hall Sued for Fatal Car Accident

Florida is among the states with the highest number of car accidents annually. According to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles in 2010 alone there were 235,461 traffic accident reports filed, a number that is 13% lower compared to 2009.

However there are still around 640 crashes each day resulting in a total of 2,500 deaths over a year. One of those deaths led to a wrongful death claim against the Hialeah city hall.

Another Fatal Boating Crash in Gulf Breeze, Florida

On Saturday afternoon March 30, 2013 Gulf Breeze residents could witness another fatal boating accident that occurred about 1,000 yards south of Shoreline Park. The vessel involved was a 39-foot Velocity go-fast boat, owned and operated by Gary Lowry, 61, of Pensacola. According to witnesses the vessel was traveling at high speed, about 70 mph when it hit a wave, flipped and cracked.
