A man was hit by two vehicles at a busy Hollywood intersection on January 27th and neither vehicle stopped afterward. The pedestrian, who is in his 40s, was near the intersection of State Road 7 and Hollywood Boulevard around 8:12 p.m. when a westbound SUV, possibly a late model Ford Expedition hit him.

Last Friday, a truck driver lost control of his truck on I-4 during a coughing fit. The Florida Highway Patrol said a load of lumber spilled onto Interstate 4 near Orlando, delaying traffic. The truck was heading west on I-4 in Maitland about 2:30 a.m. when it hit a concrete barrier.
The truck driver, 60-year-old Carl Thompson of Winter Haven began coughing and lost control of the truck, hitting the concrete barrier and spilling the load onto the westbound lanes of the highway. A deadly crash in West Park involving 2 cars claimed the life of a woman. According to deputies, Evelyn Streater-Tisdale, 66, died after a Dodge Caliber slammed into the passenger side of the car she was in. The accident occurred at 10:33 a.m. on a two-lane residential street with stop signs at the intersection of 20th Street and 42nd Avenue.
